...include: more than 55 years of marriage; 50 years of believing in their children enough to make their baby food, to chauffeur them to sports/cultural/community events and lessons, and to publish their stories; 40 years of home education; 12 years as exercise instructors—including Elaine Powers Fitness Center and certified Pilates instruction; 18 years as licensed teachers; 55 years of dance; 27 years as owner & operator of a dance studio; 17 years as owner and operator of a tutoring service; 50+ years of community activism; 2 bachelors of science, classroom teaching, substitute teaching, associate degree; graduate course work; travel to a variety of countries and states including--the Netherlands, Italy, Mexico, Jamaica, and South Africa; secretarial experience—in the private and military sectors; 4 years volunteering @ Ohio Historical Society; employment as cashier; newspaper carrier; waitress; bartender; and four years as a grandma.
